In Queens is a nice museum for contemporary art called PS1, it is part of MoMA and is set in an old highschool (PS stands for Public School). It also has a beautiful view on the rooftop!

With the rebuilding of MoMA in Manhattan, Queens has been visited more frequently by tourists because the art of MoMA Manhattan is now displayed in MoMA Queens

    Contemporary Art Center.

This is a great place. It's a combination of art exhibition, events and fun. Every Saturday you can dance there. And when I was there on a Saturday in August, there was a fashion show, a huge indoor art exhibition and the opportunity to dance on the 'beach' outside, go in the pool or cool yourself down with a shower (art objects).
