    Centro-Fly: Funky, trippy, cool

Second time around is even better!

This was my second visit to Centro-Fly......I came here last year with friends as it was recommended by a local we met whilst shopping in the village.

We had a great time last year and this year was no disppointment!

We went on an evening that hosted a special event. I like the space at this venue.

The main dance floor spins mainly Progressive House and Techno. There's a raised public bar , and an open lounge area further back with a 60s-style round bar and cool sunken seating. A separate DJ spins a different sound in the back room, and it's a cool place to *chill.*

The downstairs Pinky Room with its own sound system spins mainly Hip Hop and Rap. All this and they serve apple martinis to die for. Outside you're in the hip surrounds of Gramercy Park.

Dress Code: No strict dress code here. Jeans are allowed......but wear COMFORTABLE shoes. The music is amazing and no matter how tired your body is, you'll still want to stay on the dancefloor.

    Centro-FLy: Centro-FLy

Centro-Fly's crowd swings from industry hotshots to cool kids to made-up day-trippers. Whatever the case, they pack in some hearty dancing before the night's over, with room to relax in the open lounges and bar. The soft-blue champagne deck is a roped-off, bottles-only affair, while the selective Tapioca Room hosts VIP dancers and diners. Downstairs, the Pinky Room holds house and U.K. garage parties that are often a step ahead of the scene on the main floor.

Dress Code: Its sophisticated design and impressive DJ roster keeps the club an appealing option, though cutting-edge nights like Subliminal Sessions have gradually been replaced by more homogenous fare. Guest DJs run the gamut from Armand Van Helden to liquid-smooth LTJ Bukem to slamming Chicago stars Heather and Colette.

Trying to decide where to spend your evenings in the city is definitely a task in itself. Especially when you are limited to only 2 full nights in Manhattan like my friends and I were! So many choices, so many venues. Whether you're bar-hopping, club-hopping, lounging, or trancing after-hours......the city has so many choices! We found the best way to decide is to ask the locals! One highly recommended location was 'Centro-Fly.' Great music, eclectic crowd, and...of course, EYE CANDY! Then there was the after-hours club, 'Exit.'
The Saturday night venue we went to at Centro-Fly had deep house spinning on the main dance floor and old school jams in the lounge area. A lil bit o' something for everyone!

After hours we headed to the club, 'Exit' which was hosting DJ Junior Vasquez's 'Earth' party. The place is on fire until 11am.......just in time for Sunday brunch at the park!

Dress Code: People weren't too over-dressed at Centro-Fly. It was definitely a party atmosphere so people were comfortably dressed to dance!

At the after-hours club, 'Exit,' it was definitely more casual. Shirts and trousers were 'optional' with some party-goers!! Fully equipped with cage dancers and all-night trancers, this was certainly a scene to remember.....well....whatever one CAN remember at 5am!

Of the different clubs, my favorite is Centro Fly. It has great House music and really cool decor. Mixed crowd but mostly straight. Beautiful people.
If you're a clubber, you should go.

Dress Code: The crazier, the better.
