I stepped into Connolly's for lunch not knowing much about the place beforehand. It is in fact a long established and well known Irish Pub. It is also part of a small chain of like named pubs of which there are four in total. As far as Irish pubs go, this one is pretty upscale. The upstairs is more a restaurant while the downstairs consists a long bar with lots of Irish memorabilia but without overdoing it. The prices a rather high and the place will stretch your budget if you are on one. I had the Manhattan style clam chowder which was excellent.

This was just a totally laid back bar with the most amazing bartenders. Much of the clientele are British and many are older with a ton of personality. Not really the hip young place to go and meet people, but a nicely unpretencious place to get a drink and have a fun time by the bar.
