    Euzkadi: Music drew us in!

by Gypsystravels Updated Oct 19, 2010

We were walking along the East Village making our way to another location for dinner when we were drawn in by the mesmerizing flameco music. This is a Basqu County bar/restaurant which specializes in the basque dishes like tapas, seafood and various meats. Euzkadi is quite small with a dark cavernous look and feel to it. The bar area is even smaller, seating about 6 people total and there are about a total of 12 dining tables and at the entrance about another 2.

We wanted to enjoy a glass of wine, but Tuesday is Flamenco night and the place was packed. We found a small area in the entrance and stood there enjoying the live music which was quite nice. The atmosphere was lively and the dishes that the patrons were enjoying looked oh so yummy...we asked about a table, but they were completely booked with parties waiting outside, so we waited for the music to finish and made our way out.

This is a great find here the the East Village and I can't wait to come back and enjoy a few of their dishes as well as a nice glass of vino.
