Pop Burger: Enjoy the hidden bar behind the curtians

During one of Geisha's many trips to NYC and doing our "club scene rounds" we came to this place.

What a surprise. Located behind "diner's" curtains, this club is a great escape from the masses!! If you're enjoying a burger, pop on by and hang out at the back bar with a great cocktail. If you want to shake that "booty" you'll find that this place has some excellent music as well.

    pop bugers: burger & martinis

by assoifer Written Jul 22, 2006

this spot is great to meet some friends after work or to start the long night ahead of you
they have great martinis but the miniature burgers are to die for I don't know if it's because of their sizes but Itake great pleasure eating even when I already ate. the kitchy/loungy look of the place attracts all kind of people so feel free pop there dressed anyway you want.

Pop Burger: Burger joint or party central?

Wow, this place is hard to categorize. Yeah, there's music, dancing, people watching, nightclub-like characterstics, and it's an adult spot. In fact, during the day, it's a burger joint out front, but at night when you pass through the saloon style swinging doors, it's a posh, hip Chelsea hangout.

The night we were there, it was full of trendy New Yorkers. Plenty of beautiful people: models, actors and the like. There is a room in back with a pool table, but you'll have no chance to actually play pool back there on a weekend night. Interestingly, people were using it as the smoking room, which is a major coup in New York since technically it's illegal to smoke in an indoor public place.

Be prepared to pay too much for drinks (it's the atmosphere you're paying for). My buddy paid a cool 12 bucks for a Knob Creek on the rocks.

Dress Code: You can wear jeans, but in general people were dressed very fashionably.
