Slainte Pub, New York City
Slainte is a great Irish pub with a large beer menu on tap or bottle. It also has a large selection of top shelf liquor and wines to please any one. Ferni likes his Bacardi and I usually enjoy a Blue Moon.
The pub is quite large with a cavernous feeling, large bar area, large communal tables for large parties with a few scattered tables at the entrance of the bar, and quite a few regular dinning tables in the back where the large screen T.V. is. What we enjoy about Slainte are the 14 flatscreen T.V.s and one large screen T.V. in the back, all with Directtv making it a great place for any sports fan.
They serve lunch, dinner and brunch with a large selection of dishes. We usually order the potato skins which is a huge baked and whipped potato cut in half with bacon cheese and chives along with the chicken tenders which happen to be excellent as well as their fries (they have a bit of pepper flavoring to them) and of course their burgers which are quite yummy!!
On Sundays during American Football season the bar gets very crowded with all the TVs broadcasting the games. It gets quite crazy as everyone is cheering for their favorite time. They serve $3 Bud & Bud light and 1/2 price wings during the games.
We usually find ourselves here whenever Ferni's favorite team is playing, espeically if we can't catch it on regular broadcast television. We cheer our favorite team, have a few drinks and grab a bite to eat.

Drink beer the irish way - with spiders on your face and eels bitting your testicals. Slainte is just like most places, they sell beer and have big ass tv's everywhere. Go here to drink beer when you are thirsty and looking for beer loving.
Dress Code: Only wear socks. Nothing else.
