--light clothing as if the sun comes out it can be really warm, bring just a light leather jacket of jeans jacket or rain jacket in case of a quick shower and a cold breeze could turn out suddenly too. During the only day of rain we had, it was not so cold but pretty wet and sticky rain
----Good shoes, there is a lot to walk, even if you think your goal is a few blocks around.
Make sure you bring plenty of jumpers in winter through to March!! Even in March it can be extremely cold.
Miscellaneous: Comfy shoes are a must. Even if you zip about in taxis or the subway, you'll still end up walking shed-loads. If you go in March like I did, you can stick your feet out the hotel window and cool them down. Plasters are a good idea too, for those blisters!
Always take an umbrella !!! and probably, you can get girls like this...
I've been twice, and I've bougth two umbrellas....
Luggage and bags:
Small suitcase with casters
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It can rain cats and dogs on Ny (or alberges if you are French).
So do not forget the rain coat and the umbrella.
