The “21 Club” has a long history and the décor will attest to that. With its extensive collection of “toys” gifts from patrons, you are transported to the a time when the restaurant was the playground of the “Industrial” giants.
Find yourself enjoying a cocktail at the Cocktail Lounge while you wait for you table. The atmosphere is very classy but none pretentious.
Our evening started with a wonderful cocktail at the Cocktail Lounge while our table was being prepared. From the moment we entered “21 Club” we were treated like royalty. The Maitre D escorted us to the table and the waiter was very happy to serve us. He started the evening with his suggestions of cocktails.

This is a total dinning experience that you should not rush, and the “21 Club” does not push you to finish your meal, and allows you to sit as long as you wish at your table after you have completed your meal and will only bring you the check once you have asked for it.
After dinner, we decided to have another cocktail at the Cocktail Lounge. The manager approached us and asked if we wanted our picture taken and found a wonderful location to take the photo. He informed us that we were welcome to stay as long as we wanted, but that his bartender had to go home, so he had to close the tab, but if we wanted another cocktail, he would prepare it himself.
Overall I would say that this was a wonderful, exciting dining experience which I hope to repeat during a very special upcoming event.

Favorite Dish:
To start we each ordered the '21' Caesar Salad, with garlic croutons and aged Parmesan, for my main meal I enjoyed the Salmon Sautéed with asparagus and mushroom couscous, shellfish broth. My dessert was the Classic Crème Brulée with almond tuile and fresh berries.
This place has a very historic feel. Once you enter the small courtyard from the NYC sidewalk you are transformed back into an old 'speakeasy'.
The first thing you'll notice is the 32 (yep not 21) jockeys decorating the front facade and adorning the stairs and the balcony. This will intrigue you, once you enter the legendary Bar Room you will enjoy the comfort and imagine what is was like back in the early days when the likes of Humphrey Bogart frequented often.
The walls are full of pictures and the ceiling is full of model planes. You won't know where to direct your eyes. Take in the 21 Club and all its rich legacy!
Don't forget to take really cool matches that sport a big '21' on the matchbox cover.
