The Jekyll & Hyde: Funny Food

by Maeniel Updated Aug 31, 2004

The food is good, if not more expensive than is truly needed to be spent. It is an elaborate way to get to food, but it is entertaining at the same time. It is decorated out like an old set from a Hammer Horror Film and the staff try their hardest to make you jump when you least expect it. Also, there are set pieces of acting that are quite distracting.
If you are with kids, or are just a big one yourself, you will enjoy it.
However, it is quite a popular spot, and they try to turn over the customers as fast as possible. It is also quite cramped in there. Try it once with a group of friends.

Favorite Dish: I've only had the Chicken Caesar Salad there, but it was very nice. Everyone else tried other things and each enjoyed their own.

An unusual restaurant is Jekyll and Hyde Club.
This place is almost like a theatre, with people dressed in costumes walking around. You can sit in several themed rooms, I was in the LIBRARY room.

Favorite Dish: I had the Cajun pasta jamabalya, which was good.

The Jekyl & Hyde Club restaurants are pretty cool to do once. They're like Disneyland for Goth freaks but the comedy can get a bit cheesy. The hamburgers are great, so don't bother with the expensive stuff.

Kelly & Ping on Greene Street is a faboo Thai/Chinese restaurant that fills up faster than an empty gas tank with some one else's credit card. Prepare to rumble for a seat, but once you get it, it's excellent dining. Pad Thai anyone?

Favorite Dish: PIZZA....have pizza for lunch and go big for dinner. 2 slices should cover most appetites.

Very cool decor! Gotta check out the electric chair! They have spooky shows throughout the night. It was like you were at the Haunted House in Disneyland...but you were eating in it...
