    suet in a red mood!

At some point we had dinner with Lucille at Milon Bangladesh Indian Restaurant 93 First Avenue between 5th and 6th Street tel 212 228 4896. Not bad, really crazy lighting, but not what I would call good Indian food, having been brought up on curries as a child. It suits an uneducated palate….

I could have done with a bit more spice and coriander but I guess it would be considered TOO spicy for the usual American taste

Favorite Dish: I ordered a prawn curry... it DID have prawns in it but the sause was indescribable hehehhe

2 things strike you as odd when you first enter the room. The first is the enormous amount of Christmas Lights and decorations. A bit tacky, but also very atmospheric. The other is the loud Indian music playing on the stereo. Again a bit tacky, yet very atmospheric.

The food is very good though. And there is a huge menu of all kinds of vindaloo, madras and more much more. All of this accompanied by your rices and popadums etc.

Favorite Dish: I especially liked the Chicken Madras. Although it was not as much as I hoped it to be, it sure tasted really good.

Milon Bangladesh Indian Restaurant: Best Indian Food in NYC

Hot food, hot lights, and the best service of any restaurant I've ever visited in New York City. The prices are cheap, the food great, and they actually barter outside of the store for you to visit them and not their neighboring opponents.

Favorite Dish: I'm a big fan of the beef curry.
