This is one of two locations. We ate at the one in the east village on 10th street. The other is in the west village.
Another VT meeting brought us to this restaurant. There is a covered back to it with most of the back wall removed to open it up to the outside. Very nice place and good food. Who knew back then just how much the first meeting would change my life. Simply the best and life changing VT meeting I would ever attend.
We have also come back for other VT meetings. It is a nice group able place. Low cost and good I do rate this as one of my favorite places.
Please note. The entire restaurant is CASH ONLY.
Favorite Dish: I had a Falafel plate as I ate a late lunch and wasnt looking for a large meal. They also had pizza and lamb ribs and many other options. I know I love most places I go to for food in the city. And most of that is probably because I have VT meetings there and it wouldnt matter how the food is and still be a good time. But this is a place I would go and eat alone if no one else wanted to go it is that good.
They are open noon to midnight daily.
Moustache serves a variety of Middle Eastern pitzas (like a pizza on a pita) and other small plates in both of their charming locations. Great for sharing.
Favorite Dish: Babaganoush is better than most and their pitzas are great.
In one of most beautiful parts of the West Village for walking (Bedford), Moustache is a small place with amazing middle eastern food.
Can get really crowded during peak with lines & service is "not fast" to put it nicely, but who cares? If you were walking this gorgeous neighborhood around sunset you're not in a hurry anyway. Moustache is worth waiting in a line for, & sometimes if you get there earlier (5PM) on a weekday it's not crowed at all.
Have a tasty, relaxed meal and then (if you haven't already) go for a slow promenade in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods on the planet.
There is another one in the East Village (265 E 10th St) as well.
Note: CASH ONLY, no credit cards.
Favorite Dish: Salads, lahmacun pitzas (lamb on pita bread) are delicious & cheap, or go for the leg of lamb.
I very much liked the back place. It was a covered back yard when i was there but it looked like they could take away at least part of it.
Favorite Dish: All dishes ordered looked very nice. So just try what you feel like trying
