Interior decor and ambience are fun, but the food and seating arrangements leave a lot to be desired. The inside has elaborate Asian lanterns and near the theaters. We had the dumplings and some sushi rolls. These were below average. Each dish came with various sauces, but our server didn't know what the sauces were. They also try to utilize every inch of the restaurant so that you are practically on top of each other. The table next to us could not leave their chair without two other tables standing up each time. I even had to move so that the server could communicate with them. Not very good planning.

The food is good the ambience and decor and very nice. The service was okay but I still enjoyed myself. You must have the martinis and the seafood dishes are really good.
Favorite Dish: It was a seafood dish i forgot the name of it.
These two restaurants offer good asian food - from sushi to Thai to Vietnamise - at a decent price.
Two very large restaurants, they are not too noisy, and tables are spread apart, not one on top of the other. Interesting architecture too.
The food: good. The sushi is above average, the rest is more or less average. The service is sharp, and waiters never rush you through meals in order to sit other people at your table.
Ruby Foo's was easily one of the hippest spots we ate at while in New York. We had a really cool New York girl telling us her favorite spots. The atmosphere there is incredible. Really nice service. Beautiful interior decorating and design. I can't wait to go back.
Apparently, there are 2 Ruby Foo's, the original uptown location at 2182 Broadway (212.724.6700) and then the newer Times Square location at 1626 Broadway (212.489.5600).

It's expensive, but the sushi is the most tender I've ever had. Plus, it has all these unique pan-asian dishes. It's pretty popular among the tourists, so a lot of new yorkers stay away from it, but I think the food is worth it.
