Yaffa Cafe, New York City

Nice Coffeehouse with good menu, good selection of sweet drinks & food. Service was, well, I think it can be improve.

a sub-level cafe that is packed around midnight but open alays,m this offbeat restaurant is a popular meeting spot for all manner of young east village inhabitants. the decor looks like something from a baz luhrmann movie - lots of christmas lights and old chandeliers,m and leapord print seats to boot, and the food is good and cheap - just save room for the excellent desserts and flirt with the very cute waiters!

Favorite Dish: get any dessert here and you'll besafe - everyone loves the sour cream apple pie (don't worry - it isn't wierd) and the big hot chocolates are to die for.

I liked this restaurant a lot. It has a varied menu and If I rememer correctly it had a bit of a healthy kick to it. My friend that lives here really enjoys this restaurant. Again, the atmosphere is awesome. I think all of my restaurant tips have that to give, the atmosphere is great in all of these restaurants. very eclectically decorated. sitting and staring at the walls can provide hours of entertainment alone.

amazing for the money. this is what a diner would be if it was gourmet and served an ecletic mix of asian, italian, and middle eastern. most dishes have a delicious veggie slant to them. these dishes are available as long as the cafe is ... as they say "open always." forget that though ... THE AMBIENCE. i cannot even begin to describe how cool it is. basically take the hippest kitchiest place you've been and multiply it by ten, and then fill it up with new york's finest hippest and wackiest at four in the morning. beautiful. oh yes ... they give you free yaffa cafe condoms at the end of the night.

Favorite Dish: that would a many way tie between: the middle eastern platter, yaffa salad, avocado melt, and tofu veggie stir fry. not to mention all the pasta dishes i've tried. everything above is a solid good dish. the portions are filling and not priced like many other unaffordable nyc eateries.

Great atmosphere. A collage of decoration. The service is great! Menu has nice variety. Perfect spot to wrap up the night (open 24 hours).

Favorite Dish: Potato crusted salmon!!! And a crepe!!!
