New York Giants & Jets, New York City
Though located in NJ, the Meadowlands sports complex is home to the New York Giants and New York Jets (Jest) professional football teams. The New Jersey Devils also played in this area before moving to downtown Newark.
New York's other professional teams actually play in the city (Rangers and Knicks at Madison Square Garden, the Islanders at the Nassau County Coliseum, the Yankees at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, and the Mets at Shea Stadium in Queens).
If you're buying tickets for a Jets or Giants game at the Meadowlands, be sure to also purchase a parking pass. They might seem pricy, but the alternative is to pay $25-35 to park in a lot about five miles away and have to pile into a school bus, only to have them drop you off about two miles away.
My favorit team in Footbol won the Super Bowl 2008, and realy like it, and like to watsh
and if you like to go to a Match in New York, you can.
Equipment: The city of New York was introduced to professional football on the same day that the city was introduced to the New York Football Giants. It was a clear sunny October afternoon in 1925 when the Giants took the field to play against the Frankford Yellow Jackets. The Giants lost their home debut by the score of 14-0 to lower their record to 0-3 after opening with two losses on the road. But more importantly, the New York Football Giants and professional football had arrived.
Well we were lucky enough to be in the town during the football season and therefore had the chance to catch a jets game. We managed to buy tickets online for the jets vs dolphins match.
The experience was good but completely different to that of real football eg soccer. As soon as you arrive at the stadium you can sense a party atmosphere with people having a drink and bbq outside the ground. The fans are mixed and no trouble occurs where as this would be unthinkable in britain and a lot of parts of europe. The games go on a long time but the time seems to go quickly due to the constant entertainment.
One bit of advice is to wrap up well due to the fact the stadium is open you are constantly hit by the wind which is swirling in and around the stadium
