    The central park

by Fenaren Written Aug 26, 2002

Just walk through it. Or visit one of the museums in there. Lay in the grass or watch the others playing baseball.

Central park is one of the most Iconic parks in America. It was opened in 1857 and today houses a zoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art ( many other museums border the park).

Central Park is just that... a park. Just go there and do park things, like picnics, toss a football etc.

The Northern more rugged area of Central Park

    by butterflykizzez04 Written Mar 27, 2005

This was taken inside the park in the northern section up near 75th street area. We were heading towards the Museum of Natural History.

Very nice section of the park.

As you walk into Central Park you are in another place but always you could turn back and face the city.

In the photo you could see the famous Plaza Hotel, only for very rich people :)

    by UK_GUY_LOVES_VEGAS Updated Jun 7, 2003

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and take a walk in THE park. There are also less energetic ways to see the park - try a horse drawn carriage or rent a bicycle.

If you want to get away from the noise of NYC head for Central Park a vast area of recreational space in lower Manhattan.

Central Park - you need a day to enjoy it. It can get dangerous at night, but take a whole day to see it.
