Something for the the little kid in everyone here. FAO was something of a New York institution for me...and it was only a few blocks away from our hotel, making it a must see on our list of things to do.

If you can afford it, go shopping on Fifth Avenue where you'll find many of the top designer name stores. Some of my favorite are the Gucci, Coach, Louis Vuitton and of course Channel.

Love the color and the height of this heel The newest Louis Vuitton Bag The Burberry Trench always a classic Channel is just timeless

Across the street from St. Patrick’s Cathedral, in 630 Fifth Avenue, you will find one of New York’s most famous statues, the 15 feet bronze ATLAS statue created by Lee Lawrie in 1973.

Fifth Avenue is an amazing street with a mixture of shops and sites to see.

There are expensive boutiques mixed in with shops selling New York Memorobilia.

Take a walk down 5th Avenue, just for the heck of it.

Neo-classical skyscrapers, the Empire State Building, Saks, window shopping...the sidewalks are paved withe gold!!

Well, who hasn't heard about this store? I didn't go in because I hate shopping, but I couldn't resist taking a pic of the outside :). It's right next door to St Patrick’s Cathedral.

FAO Schwartz - This toy shop is really lovely. The guide book said it was very expensive, but I thought some of the prices, especially of the lovely soft cuddly toys were very comparable.

Marvel at what Donald Trump is continuously coming up with - trees growing from one of his many buildings.

Across the street from St. Patrick's Cathedral in one direction is Sac's 5th Avenue. The store for the rich. But we walked through it anyway!

You can take a walk down this street and go into stores where things cost more than my university tuition. I'll never buy anything there but it was still fun to take a look around.
