Yes, the world trade center site / ground zero is a place you should visit. We stood there - silent, tears in our eyes ...
Was going to visit inside but unfortunately was'nt allowed, plus a company had their opening day so security was tight..Shame

This is ground zero. I tried to get the cross, which is the only real thing left to take a picture of.
This is another entrance to Ground Zero, they have different writings that you can read posted there.
This actually was in front of the World Trade Center buildings.
It was damaged as you can see, there is an eternal lighted flame there.
Ground Zero is a very sobering experience. It's interesting to walk along the fence around the church and see what words and items people from all over the world have left there.
The Winter Gardens have been rebuilt since they were destroyed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Shops and businesses are starting to reopen in the Winter Gardens and the surrounding area.
This is a piece of steel which fell from the World Trade Centre. It has been set in concrete and now stands on Ground Zero.
Deeply hurt by the 9/11 events, the World Financial Center has recovered quickly and is now a nice sight to lift your spirits after the gloomy and depressing Ground Zero.
These twin towers are no longer existing after the terror attacks at the 11th September.....it´s so sad! I want to keep this pic here as a sign against terror!!!
Go to the top of the World Trade Center and look over on all of NYC- it's a great sight. However, it won't be very pleasent to people afraid of heights.
World Trade Center. Not sure what's still down there, but it was an unbelievable time and such a disaster.
Contemplating a tragedy.
Back to New York City----gotta go to the World Trade Center! Looking up at it from street level is quite an experience!
