    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Not sure if this is the right category, but seeing this was less than impressive. You had to wait in line for about 40 minutes to get in, get thoroughly checked over (pre-9/11. probably much worse now). Then you can go in, and stand around the outside looking down on the exchange. The view you get is the same one you've seen on the news a million times, and that's about it. You can't go down there, of course, you just stand up top and watch them walking around. Not very exciting if you ask me. Then you're hearded out and of course have the opportunity to buy t-shirts, coffee mugs, and what have you with the NYSE logo.

I believe it is free, but not worth the time if you ask me.

Unique Suggestions: There are pretty good photo ops down near Wall St. The huge bull out front. And I believe one of the oldest cemetaries is very near here, where Alexander Hamilton is buried. It's also the same cemetary you see or used to se on Wall St with Louis Rukeyeser.

Fun Alternatives: I believe one of the oldest cemetaries is very near here, where Alexander Hamilton is buried. It's also the same cemetary you see or used to se on Wall St with Louis Rukeyeser.

    NASDAQ

Since 1999 NASDAQ is located at Times Square and open to the public. As NASDAQ is an electronic exchange there is nothing to see except the news reporter.

Unique Suggestions: There is a game which you can play....

Fun Alternatives: Have a look at NYSE instead.
