Times Square: That is a real zoo!
Ok, it is one of the most famous places in the world but I can`t help it, I din not like it at all.
Undeniably attracting with all the lights and the advertisements around that make you dizzy of excitement, but I would not dare to take a walk again. All that going around from one side of the pavement to the other like crashed sheep, shops do not sell anything interesting...you have to fight to try to walk around. So relieved when I got out of it!

Times Square: It's just not worth it!
Ok, so this is the requisite visit when in NYC. I get it. BUT it's SO crowded and full of other tourists, it's almost as though you don't get a true sense of NYC. Yes, there are all the signs, lights, etc. Just prepare yourself! Try not to stick out like a sore thumb and be safe/smart about things.

Know where you're going...don't stop in the middle of the street to "oooh and ahhh". Also, no picture taking in the middle of the street.

Times Square: Stay away from electronics shops on TS
Stay away from those jerks!!! Never buy anything from those shops. They sell faulty products, refurbished( as new) and so so expensive. They want to take advantage of tourists, especially those who don't researh the internet for prices and fall into their traps.

don't, seriously don't

go to commercial shops like circuit city, bestbuy etc...

Times Square: stay away...
This whole area is one big tourist trap...i hate times square because of all the people walking around looking really lost. If you dont want to pay double on everything then stay away! good place to go and check out if you have never been to the city, but I would not get a hotel here, would not go out to eat except on 45th street.

Stay out of this place! It is too expensive for you people going to travel around!!

Times Square is one of those places that you just have to see, and then you don't need to go back there. New Yorkers hate the place, it is owercrowded by tourists, but still you have to see it once. It is an impressive site in it own weird way.

Times Square is the no.1 tourist trap in NYC. Many tour buses make stops here and their countless passengers will rush out for their photo opportunity with what little times given to explore the area. So, you have to be a bit patient to get that nice photo of the buildings without someone's face taking over the shot.

The restaurants & souvenirs here are also more expensive so you're better off walking somewhere else for better prices (and better quality). The Restaurant Row (between 8th & 9th Ave) and diners with decent prices are only a few minutes away from Times Square.

The Theaters of Broadway are located near Times Square so it will be a good idea to catch a show or take some photographs and eat/shop somewhere else. I was overwhelmed by the many people there so I didn't really want to hang around the area.

For the Hard Rock Cafe fans, you can purchase your T-shirts, pins & other memorabilia at their store & restaurant at the corner of W 43rd & 7th Ave.

Times Square: See it once, then stay away!!!!
Times Square is tourist hell. It is loaded with bright lights - mostly from the flash of cameras, overpriced restaurants with below-average food like ESPN Zone, street vendors and souvenir shops selling garbage, and way too many people.

See it once just for the experience, then leave quickly.

If you want to see the uniqueness of New York, go to another neighborhood like the Upper West (or East) Side, Greenwich Village, or Soho.
