TIcket machine at the Melrose Station

Here is a picture of a Metro North Ticket Machine. These machines are easy to use they convert into other languages such as dutch & french. You use it by touching the screen. You select where you are going and where you are coming from.

They take credit card & cash. One note, if you use cash they machine doesn't give back bills it gives back all dominations of coins but the dollar is also a coin.

These are located at all Metro North Stations & also at Grand Central Stattion.

A great way to beat the traffic and avoid bridge tolls from Westchester county is the take the Metro North Tram. The cost is super cheap and you don't have to stress out fighting traffic and New York City Drivers. The hours are incredibly convenient and the tram drops you off at Central Station (a renowned NYC landmark).

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The best way to get into New York from Connecticut is via Metro North. You will arrive right in the middle of Manhattan at Grand Central Terminal.
The best way to get around is either the subway or the NYC transit buses. The famous yellow taxis are also good, but they can be slow, especially if there is a lot of traffic.Another great way to get around New York is on foot, you can take you time and admire the crowds on the sidewalk rushing by.
