The Observation Tower by tpangelinan You can go to the Observation Tower which is located behind the visitors center in Niagara State Park and for $1.00 walk out on the top for some great views of the falls or take the elevator to the bottom to get up close at the base of the falls. The Observation Tower is also the access to the Lady of the Mist tours which is an additional cost. Leave a Comment

Lady of the Mist boat tours by tpangelinan You should go on the Lady of the Mist Boat Tours, this is pretty fun and educational and you can get wet. We saw many people that got very wet on this tour but we came away pretty dry. If you wish to see the sights and stay dry Don't go on the top deck! The lower deck adds some cover and places to get out of the mist. If you dare to bring your camera on this trip may I suggest you buy a cheap water proof disposable camera, me I'm a little crazy so I brought my camera and gave Terry the disposable one. If you bring your own just make sure to keep it as dry as possible and bring and small soft rag, towel or some thing to clean the lens after every shot and you will get some beautiful photos! The whole trip only takes about a half an hour and is a lot of fun, don't forget exta batteries! No need for resorvation and the cost is $11.50 per person $6.75 children, times are first boat 9:15am and last boat at 8:00pm. They do supply a rain coat for you. Leave a Comment

Take a tour behind the falls by tpangelinan You must take the Cave of the Winds tour behind the falls. The tour provides you with a raincoat and nice sandles and a bag to put your shoes in. Go to Goat Island near Terrapin point, take an elevator ride down 175 feet to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. Be prepared to get very wet! Do NOT bring your camera on this trip, only a disposable waterproof will do here. Leave a Comment Phone: 716-278-1730

Stunning! by Yaqui Niagara falls are about 12,000 years old. It once was seven miles down stream from where it is today and as the layer of rock continues to change from the continuing pressure of water. The falls will change again in time moving up stream once more. Gosh, this is just an amazing fact. Here are some more. American Falls Height 180 ft (56 m) Width 1060 ft (320 m) Volume of flow 10% of total Breath taking and if you plan stay the night. Just can't believe the granduer of something so spectacular mother nature has created. This is just a suggestion, but make sure you checkout the accomodations on the Canadian side because they have a lot more accommodations and views of the falls from the hotels. Lots of things to do during the day and night downtown. Leave a Comment

Take a balloon ride! by tpangelinan I took a balloon ride on the American side which only took about 15 minutes. The ride takes you up 400 feet and has some pretty good views. The cost is $20.00 and is kind of worth it, the view of the falls is not very good but very nice views of the surrounding area. The staff was very nice and friendly and the fellow took a photo of me with my camera and also talked with me about the local issues going on. All in all not bad. Leave a Comment

by Yaqui What a impressive place. The guides are so informative with so many facts and features of the plant and of the Niagara River itself. They have lots of exhibits on energy and electricity. Lots of wonderful hands on displays too for the kids and adults alike. Admission and parking are always free; the Power Vista is also handicapped-accessible. We’re open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, year-round, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, when we're closed. It's Free! by Yaqui What a wonderful attraction to visit. Skylon Tower is 520 feet and the tallest structure in Niagara. It opened in the autumn of 1964. It has one of the most breath taking views to see the falls from up above. It has this wonderful pictural presentation of plaques that line the outside walk of the history of the falls. You learn alot just from those. It has a wonderful restaurant too! This is a must see and do! Leave a Comment

Situated between Luna Island and Goat Island, Bridal Veil Falls which is the smallest among the 3 falls sits on the American side facing northwest of Canada. The falls looks like a bride's veil flowing in the air. Clear, white and simply amazing! Over the years, the falls have attracted daredevils from around the world, as the first person to successfully tumble down the falls in a barrel was a 63-year-old teacher named Annie Taylor in early 1900. She was able to survived this daredevil activity which brought her to fame and marked her name in Niagara falls history. After the said event, many people have tried to do other death defying stunts in the falls. Note: This is where the Cave of the Wind tour takes place

Seneca Niagara Casino by tpangelinan Go check out the Seneca Niagara Casino on the USA side. We are not really the gambling type but had a lot of fun here. The staff is very nice and friendly, your money seems to go futher here than the casino on the Canadian side. We only dropped about $50.00 and played for hours, this is a fun thing to do to pass the time if it is raining or your just feeling like you don't want to be running around. Leave a Comment

Niagara Falls NY side by tpangelinan If you are staying any where near Rainbow Bridge it's a short walk to the falls. While we were there it wasn't too crowded because it was the week before the summer season so viewing was not much of an issue. The falls are a wonderess sight to see and you can really feel the power of them. Once you enter the park there are many place to check out the sights, we suggest bikes so if you have your own, bring them! And for make sure you have your camera and plenty of batteries!
