Lady of the Mist
Probably the best way to get up close and personal with Niagara Falls. Be warned, you will get wet. There is no escaping it.
The Canadian Falls, which are only half in Canada, are the horseshoe part of the falls. It can be seen best on the Canadian side.

See the waterfalls by night when they are lovely, mind you wrap up warmly it was quite cold when we went.

Go to Terrapin Point.
On Goat Island Park, a viewing area at the edge of the Horseshoe Falls. You really get a magnificent view of the thundering water going over the sweeping curve of the Horseshoe.

Try and see Niagara Falls in the depth of winter as well - its lovely. This photo was taken behind the waterfall.

There's a lot of activite there the summer, but in the winter, all it's close. There's not a lot of activities there the winter, but I think the summer is great.
Go on the 'Maid of the Mist'...
Go on the 'Maid of the Mist' tour. This tour takes you near the base of the Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the three falls.
Definitely go on the 'Cave of...
Definitely go on the 'Cave of the Winds' tour. You take a breath-taking walk down to the base of the Bridal Veil Falls and get to experience the full rush of the water on you.
Get down to water level and...
Get down to water level and visit Cave of the Winds or tread the boardwalks beneath the American Falls. You get soaked again but it's worth it!
You can't visit Niagara Falls...
You can't visit Niagara Falls and not go out on Maid of the Mist. You get soaked but it's great fun!
