Ogdensburg Things to Do

  • by marigold33 Written Jul 21, 2003

If you find yourself in Ogdensburg and want to stay there for more than five minutes, go to the Frederic Remington Museum. His sculptures and paintings of the southwest, particularly his horse sculptures, are actually pretty famous, and he was born in the area. Canton, actually, but Ogdensburg gets the glory, alas. But go see it, it's a nice change of pace.

Go to, see, boat on, swim in, watch a sunset on: The St. Lawrence River.
It's over a mile wide, blue, cool, clean and beautiful. It is also the St. Lawrence Seaway, so you can often see ocean going ships.
