Ontario Center is part of the township of Ontario. The whole area rates at top 10% of safe areas in New York State. The crime statistics chart has the region as "very low risk" for crime.
A few burglaries are the only crimes of interest.
If you normally use safety precautions and continue to use them in this area, then you surely will not have any problems. If you do not normally practice traveler safety then you should: lock doors; lock valuables up out of sight; stay away from unfamiliar places late at night. These actions will help you to stay safe even if they are a bit of overkill in a nice place like Ontario Center.
This is a full 18 hole course with long distance of 6800 yards and duffer distance of 5500 yards. The club and course have been around for at least 50 years that I know of and maybe longer. There is a pool, club house, pro shop and nice restaurant.
Public access is limited to reserved times between competitions and member activities.
Please call the club house for details on time and dates.
Greens fees are in the $30-$40 range plus cart fees.
I have never had anything more than a spot to drink from the restaurant but I hear that the food is good but the atmosphere is clubbish.
to get there:
