Don't be fooled by the cute puppies in the window...the dogs are kept in dirty conditions... I know so many people who got dogs from there and every story ended up with the dogs dying or become very sick.... like this story...

Unique Suggestions: Just dont, or if you want to bust them, have a vet come with you to check the dog out....

Fun Alternatives: If you want a dog, go to a reputable breeder.

When people think of Port Jeff they think of the "Steam Room". Located right across from the ferry, its a large scale clam bar, you can sit outside on the deck and look at the water, or inside. It's a great place to go, but you will pay more than its worth. Their fried dishes are very good, but dont get crab legs... theyre overpriced and you get small hard to eat legs. It's fun at night, theres live music and the glassed in room is all lit up.

Unique Suggestions: Order the fried dishes, like fried clams, theyre a little bit cheaper. You'll pay like $16 for crab legs, and theyre pretty small.

Fun Alternatives: like I said definetly go, but dont be fooled. There are other great seafood places such as Dockside (down the road, near yuppy puppy .) Dockside might look expensive, but if you look at the outside menu or the specials, you might find cheaper crab legs or other dishes. If you really want crab legs, go to a local fishmarket and buy them, you'll get larger legs for much more affordable.
