Riverdale Things to Do
Okay...Woodlawn is not right in Riverdale, but if you are this close, you need to go there. It's still in The Bronx, though -- near the Botanical Gardens and The Bronx Zoo (also must-sees)!
Woodlawn Cemetery is huge. It has a larger variety of trees than the Botanical Gardens. Take a loaf of bread to feed the ducks. Also, take a picnic. Yes, people picnic in this cemetery because it's so beautiful. There is even a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony during the holidays here. Many famous people are buried here and if you call ahead of time, they'll give you a tour! Very interesting! Beautiful mausoleums!Related to:

This is where I went to celebrate my retirement. The food was incredible. The atmosphere was good. A little pricey but a well worth while experience.
Thank you SO SO SO for taking me here.
Favorite Dish: I had the Black Angus. Needed a good dinner. Also sampled the Chilian Seabass. WOW was that good.
Madison's Nuvo Northern Italian cuisine is served here. With its charming atmosphere and great food, this place is usually packed from Wednesday to Sunday, with the majority of our older folks having lunch or dinner here at least twice a week.
Favorite Dish: The Chilean Sea Bass is the best I have ever had and their main dish is served with your choice of pasta, potatoes or vegatables, wash it down with your favorite wine. Included in your meal is a family serving of salad and warm bread. Don't forgot the cappuccino or espresso along with that dessert.
If your current health insurance doesn't cover you while your abroad, you should consider getting international travel insurance just in case something should go wrong.
