Letchworth is an outdoor person's paradise. There are camping areas, walking trails, bridal paths, picnic in the woods or in the field. You can see the Genesee River and its falls and the Mt. Morris Dam. Birding is popular in the early spring when migratory flocks of chickadees, towhees and field birds fly through the area. There is a nature station where you can learn about the local flora and fauna. They have monthly events in the summer like the craft shows and the historic battle re-enactments.
In the summer, you can do some whitewater rafting, kayaking, hot air ballooning and swim in semi-natural pool. In the winter, enjoy skiing, snomobiles, skating and going for a sleigh ride.
There are concession stands where you can get a cup of coffee or a cold drink and soup and sandwiches.
Kids can enjoy the fishing pond, the ball fields and the playground and there are restroom facilities near the parking areas.
The only problem with this park is that there is only one access road to each end of the park and only one road that runs like a spine through the park. This can be the cause of massive traffic jams when popular events are attended by thousands of people in vehicles at one time.
