Just southeast of the Roxy Islands area, along the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River, you can pull your boat into Burnham Point State Park. You can also access it via route 12 by car.

It is a multipurpose park, aimed at picnickers, hikers, campers and fishermen.
There are several picnic tables with brick fire places for cooking (or bring your own hibachi).
A small marina will docking and launching of canoes, rowboats, kayaks and small outboard motor boats is available right into the St. Lawrence River.
Fishing is allowed (with proper licenses) either from your boats offshore or right from the marina docks or along the shoreline.
The camping areas are rather underdeveloped and open (right along the shore) but they do have fire pits, communal restrooms and safe-water access. Just perfect for the avid tenter who wants a quiet weekend away from the hubbub.

The park is an all-season park. And hunting is allowed in the vicinity of the park. Therefore if you go hiking or camping in the park woods during spring or fall, please be aware that hunters are nearby. You definitely should wear bright colors in the woods when you hike.
