The Lions Club donated monies to develop this park for the physically handicapped people to enjoy nature. Paved trails and walkways; covered pavilions with nearby gardens of local flora; benches for sitting and watching the birds and animals in the area. They even dug two ponds to encourage migratory waterfowl to visit the area in spring and fall.
Plantings were made so that the blind and handicapped can feel the texture of various species, smell fragrances from a number of plant types, taste herbs, fruits and vegetables growing on-site providing an experience of nature in a safe, controlled environment.
