Favorite thing: Go to the heart of the village(Berkley Square) and just park and walk.Lots of great shops to browse. Stop at Little Italy for some great food!!! If you feel like a short drive then the Howard Johnson's in Lake Placid is the best deal for the money. Great food and even better atmosphere and service!!
Fondest memory: My best memory of Saranac is just the beauty of the place. All the little quintessential elements that make up this sweet town are what bring a smile to my face every time I thnik of it. I think that just wandering around the town is the best!!

Favorite thing: Hike up Mt. Baker! short hike but beautiful views! Walk through the village, there are great walking paths that can be found on a map at the local Chamber. (town hall). Our village is located right next to Lake Flower. Casa del Sol (mexican) is a favorite amoung the locals, as is the 'bell' or otherwise known as the Belvedere. good food (italian and american) at great prices. The lakeview deli offers some of the best homemade soups and sandwiches in the area. Donnelly's ice cream stand is the local's absolute favorite!!
Fondest memory: Just living in this beautiful area provides memories everyday!! But probably hiking is the best destresser one can experience!!

Favorite thing: Climb Mt. Baker on the Moody Pond road in Saranac Lake...very easy trails to follow, you'll be amazed by the beautiful scenary when you reach the top.
Fondest memory: My fondest memory is walking in the pitch black and knowing where I am going and not being afraid of whose around the corner. (except of course the boogy man),then getting a custard at the Mt. Mist on Lake Flower, yum. (by the way it's a sort of ice cream cone)
