Favorite thing: take one of the architectural walking tours. There are self-guided brochures/maps available at the Visitor Center (unfortunately I don't think it's open from Dec-Mar) which is located downtown across Broadway from Congress Park.
Fondest memory: feeding the ducks at the ponds in Congress Park. There's quite a flock of them there -- and they'll follow you around forever -- quacking quite nicely amongst themselves -- if you continue to feed them. Surprisingly, they like lots of different kinds of food -- including fruits and cooked vegetables. (I know, I know -- but I wanted to feed them, not kill them.)

Favorite thing: Saratoga Springs is nice and the little most get away place to go. The vegetation that surrounds Saratoga Springs gives a clean air atmosphere. For a small town, there are plenty of places to lodge before the summer months.
Fondest memory: During the summer months, Saratoga Springs sits on top of a number of feature events. The Performing Arts Center which holds concerts on the cool evening lawn of the State Park. Skidmore College which has a number of summer programs. Enjoy horse racing; Trotters and Therobreds (July/August).

Favorite thing: Autumn in Saratoga can be beautiful. But those leaves keep falling and that stop sign didn't do the job.
