Access to Sawens from Interstate 90 is via exit 48 then south on route 77. Connect to McVean Road which jogs east into Snipery Road and that runs north and connects to Richley Road. Go east on Richley Road less than a mile and then go south on Harper Road and into the heart of Sawens.
To get to Sawens from route US20, just take US20 to Darien where you can connect directly to Harper Road and go north on Harper to Sawens.
The main roads in the area are I-90, route 77, route US20 and route 238. Those roads will get you to almost everything worth seeing in the area. Those main roads have speeds limits in excess of 50mph except where they travel through villages where the speed limit may drop to 35mph. Secondary roads have speeds varying from 25mph in school districts to the 55mph limit and those secondary roads are usually in good condition.
