I really liked this place. The food was good, which was a surprise to me because I usually don't like vegetarian food. (I had come in for coffee and ended up with the powerburger. I wish all vegan food tasted like that.)
There's parking and wifi. The atmosphere is diner-friendly and informal. I was actually served by the owner, who was very pleasant and chatty. The back room has a classy feel (with a pool table!) I understand that they also deliver and cater - there were some good reviews tacked up to the wall.
My only complaint is that the price is a little high. Not Lake Placid high, or even Chinese Buffet high, but high enough that you notice. I figured I got what I paid for.
They're not very well publicized but it's worth it to seek them out.
Favorite Dish: Powerburger. I had a cookie for dessert but the burger tasted good and didn't give me the greasy feeling that I sometimes get from hamburgers.

We stopped here because they were advertising lunch specials -- $4.95 for any dish on Monday - Thursday from 11-3 (price is $7.95 for lunch specials Friday - Sunday). We figured we couldn't go wrong for that price. We couldn't believe how fantastic the food was! The servings were huge -- I ended up with enough leftovers for a second meal -- and it was SO SO good! The people were very nice and service was quick. Our food was out in about 10 minutes, and our water glasses were never empty.
Favorite Dish: I had the massaman curry and tried the ginger beef. I would recommend both.

I've been here twice now on both of my visits (in 2005 and 2006) and both times the food and atmosphere have been great. The service was a little spotty, but the place is always very busy, so the servers are stretched a bit thin. Expect a wait of 20 or 30 minutes at all hours as this place is very crowded. The first time I was here, we had a sampler platter of wings and ribs and both were great. Last time, we ordered some delicious fried green tomatoes and I had a huge barbecue sandwich that had both slow cooked beef brisket and pulled pork. Yum. They have a few local beers that are worth trying too.

There are three parts to this restaurant. The Bistro, which is in the soaring lobby, the Lounge [the bar with wide screen TV] and the smaller Tuscan room. All are very attractive. The menu is classic American with options from under $10 to over $20.
Favorite Dish: The dinner options are excellent, but I'm a sucker for the perfectly toasted NY bagel with salmon and the usual "sides" of capers and red onions. Along with the excellent orange juice this was a superb breakfast!

WOW! A friend said she was going to take me here for lunch and I was a little suspicious when she said it was a diner. I pictured a little place serving eggs and toast, or other typical diner fare. I was really wrong! The place is big, done up in retro-diner style, and the varied types of food they offer comes in HUGE portions!
They are open:
Mondays and Tuesdays: 5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Sunday: 5 a.m. to 9 p.m
Favorite Dish: I ordered the turkey potpie, and I couldn't finish it. I took home the rest and it was a whole 2nd meal. I think I paid $6.95.
Service was quick and the people were nice.

I listed this as a steakhouse rather than Italian because they really are known for their steak. After all, they're home to the Delmonico Steak - 2 lbs for about $15. Huge steak for a tiny price -- what's not to love?
The dining room has a very relaxed and fun atmosphere: the waitstaff are dressed up in Italian themes, there are caricatures of famous people of Italian herigate.
The food is incredible and nearly impossible to finish in one sitting. One day I'll have to go back to try a desert.
Favorite Dish: I had the New York Strip Steak and could only eat half of it because it was so big! I substituted the garlic mashed potatoes for the pasta as my side, and they were amazing!
The bruscietta as an appetizer was definitely worth getting!!
My friend got the filet mignon, and she loved it.
The bread they give you is nothing spectacular, but the herbed butter is to die for!

This place definitely wasn't the best French restaurant I've ever visited, but the food was mostly very good and the staff was definitely mostly French (or maybe they were acting students at SU?). We were doing some food sharing here, so I was able to try the escargots (Burgundy Snails), a warm goat cheese salad, a rack of lamb and some scallops served over Basmati rice. The snails and the lamb were both great, but honestly, the scallops and salad were mediocre. The clientele seemed to be mostly families and older people and the atmosphere was a bit dated (think Old Country Buffet with fine French wine). Without drinking wine, you coud spend under $40 per person, but you should expect to pay $40 and up.

Located in the bar and nightclub saturated Armory Square area of downtown, Movino's is the perfect place to go after bar hopping on the weekend. The pizza is good and is just the thing to soak up a bit of excess alcohol. Follow it up with plenty of water, a couple of aspirin and call me in the morning.

A Syracuse landmark. Great Hot Dogs. Good Atmosphere. The place could use a little more landscaping and litter clean up though. A big dead bush still sits near the entrance by the railroad tracks. (Go to Hafner's and buy some mulch please. Learn from the chains who take care of their property)

Tully's has four locations in the Syracuse area. One in Cicero, Salina Erie Blvd, and Camillus. I used to frequent the Erie Blvd Tully's when I was younger. I loved it there. You can have a great meal watching one of the many TV Screens and then afterward play games in the game room. Wonderful place to take a date or go out with a bunch of friends!
Favorite Dish: Chicken Tenders!
