When someone in Monroe County says they are going to Eastview, everyone understands they are going shopping for the day.
This is a humungous mall; part indoor/gallery access and part outdoor/canopied-walkway access. It spans both sides of route 96 for about a quarter mile.
The headliner stores are: The Bon-Ton, JCPenney, Lord and Taylor, Macy's and Sears.
Local favorites at the mall are: Aldo, Build-a-bear, Coldwater Creek,Coach, Home Depot, Jack-Jill Clothing, Kay Jewelry, Pottery Barn, Yankee Candle. There are over 150 stores and 9 eateries.
Shopping at Eastview is an all-day event (at least for my wife, it is).

Levi Valentine built Valentown in 1879 where a railroad was to pass through. The railroad company ran out of money before they could reach Valentown and never finished the tracks. Valentown vacated and in 1940 J. Sheldon Fisher turned Valentown into a Historical Museum.
The museum is an interesting old building that contains artifacts, articles and equipment that represent the history of Victor and Rochester, NY.
There is a small gift shop where you can buy a token of your visit.

Choose from three 18-hole courses and a 9-hole excutive course. 4900 yards to 6500 yards are the distances on the 18 holes and each course varies in difficulty, terrain and hazards.
You need to call for reservations because they often have league or tournament play and they also have a weekly rotation on sets of 9-holes to revitalize the greens and repair the fairways.
$25 gets you 18-holes and a cart. The score is up to you.
