 | Watkins Glen State Park Things To Do | Tips 1 - 10 of 23 | | Popular Things To Do | Miscellaneous Things To Do Tips | All Tips (23) There a a handfull of trails here, some cut by water, some cut by Native Americans and some cut with scissors (maybe). My best suggestion on how to navigate this park is start at the parking lot at 414. Walk up the Gorge and go all the way to the top, walk up Jacobs Ladder and have a picnic recharge at the top. Then proceed back down and turn right onto the South Rim trail. This parts easy on the legs much unlike what they previously endured. This path will cross over the gorge and lead you onto the Indian Trail. Take it all the way back to the bottom and buy yourself an icecream cone. Job well done, you did just slightly better than that hearing beep test you took in your third grade nurse office. Hooray! Yes thats a butterfly there. Leave a Comment

As one enters the park the first major construction meshed with the natural beauty is Sentry Bridge. The path will grab your hand and pull you over so no worries on height fright. You will be overwhelmed by your surroundings to ever be able to feel any scare. Leave a Comment

Do it! After the treacherous trek to the top eat yourself something. Theres a picnic area and snack bar at the top of the Gorge Trail, but first one will have to endure the steep climb up Jacobs Ladder. Theres bathrooms up here, so unload so you can make the voyage back down to the bottom. RECHARGE! Leave a Comment

This shot is from behind the aptly named Rainbow Falls. It's the last of the waterfalls you will come to on your hike, and some might say that they saved the best for last. Not a mighty cascade, it's sort of a glorified trickle that starts way up the side of the gorge, passes over the trail and ends up in the churning stream below. Leave a Comment
