Cottages do not provide toiletries, so you will need to bring everything, including TP.
Suncreen and a cheap pair of flip flops are musts. An umbrella will help keep you cool and allow you to stay on the beach longer without getting burned.
Bring your favorite board game, or book. It is possible that you will have a day with bad weather, and a board game, dominons or just a deck of cards can help pass the time.
Note: Most cottages have some board games, a small library of novels.
