 | Cary Restaurants | Tips 1 - 10 of 14 | | I had a day to fill before I boarded my flight home which was at 18.10 on a Saturday evening in May. Jefferson, a concierge at the hotel recommended this to me along with a particular chicken dish. I did not take the food suggestion - but the diner was a great place to visit.
The menu has many great things to pick from and of course the portions are quite large too. Start with chicken lettuce wraps and take it from there! On a weekend lunch time, if one lives in Cary, and does not want to drive as far as to Durham, this is the best place to have Chinese/Cantonese style Dim Sum. The deco is modern. Waiting staff push carts with a wide variety of small dishes around. Ask them if you are not familiar with any of the dish. Some waiting stuff speak fluent English, others less so, but good enough to explain to you what in each dish most of the times. Besides dim sum, they also serve 'regular' dishes that you would find in many other Chinese restaurants locally. The quality and tast are up to individual standards and taste buds. It is a rather popular place (keep in mind that there is a big Asian population in Cary). You would see many families eating here during the weekend.
Seafood is my favorite, so usually I would pick any dish made of seafood. See the website for their Dim Sum menu. Vegetarian would find many dishes here as well, many dishes are made of soya products, also my favorite. Shrimp dumplings Shrimp with rice noodles Eggplant with tufo Crab claws with shrimp Taro Green vegetables Leave a Comment

The restaurant's deco definitely do not match its food. The dinning hall looks like in a fast food restaurant (it probably needs a 'face lift'), but it really serves some authentic Chinese dishes that most other 'Chinese' restaurants not. It serves different style of Dim Sum from NeoChina on Maynard and High House intersection. See reviews on 'city search'.
It serves Shanghai/Taiwan style Dim Sum at lunch time of Sat/Sun only: 11:30 AM-2:30 PM. The price is really reasonable (see menu). You would see singles have their meals there, as well as family event, or a big group dinner on Chinese New Year's eve. My favorite Dim Sum: You tiao: jumbo fried dough Fan tuan: salty rice ball Xun yu: Shanghai/Suzhou style smoked fish Ma la luo pian: Sea conch in hot sauce Xian xia jiu cai bing: Shrimp & Chinese chive dumpling Other dishes: Stir fried soya beans with diced chicken Steamed cod fish with soya bean crumbs Leave a Comment

But the pita bread is too good to let go. Very tasty food. A relaxed place with boat shape sushi bar. Sushi comes in boats as well. The sister restaurant is in Raleigh (I will add onto Raleigh page later). The Raleigh one has much more elaborated deco: the tables in Cary location are all rather simple, but the ones in Raleigh are all w/ a fancy wood carved top (not sure if directly shipped from Thailand), then topped with a piece of glass.
The sushi is fresh. Besides common types of rolls and sashimi, they also offer sushi rolls with own twist, e.g., adding soft cheese etc - some people like it, while others do not. My favorite: - Sushi/Sashimi Boat for one $28 With sushi, sashimi and miso soup (OR salad). This will be enough for a regular sushi lover, even enough for two for light eaters. Review: http://triangle.citysearch.com/profile/6153325?cslink=search_name_cust&ulink=search__searchslot3_520__1_profile_2_1 - Pad Thai/Vegetables $8.95 (add shrimp, chicken or pork would be a bit more) "Stir fried noodles with pad thai sauce, egg, bean sprouts and ground roasted peanuts" Good but the sauce sometimes is a bit too sweet. We tried some other stir-fried dishes, which are not too great. See their official website for menu. It is a chain, but a good chain! We were there many times now, and always had very good food. It opens daily 11 AM to 11 PM, that means if you can basically eat any time you want during that time period. It has a very comfortable dining hall, staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Fettuccini with Lobster $11.95 “Black fettuccini tossed with lobster and wild mushrooms in a white wine and scallion cream sauce. “ Chilean Sea Bass $14.95 (excellent sea bass at much lower a price than other restaurants) “Fresh fillet of moist and flaky Chilean sea bass brushed with herb-garlic oil and seared on iron. Served with a roasted red pepper cream sauce, sautéed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes.” Calamari alla Griglia $5.95 Pasta Special (w/wild mushroom) $7.95 Chicken Pietro $10.95 Chicken alla Emilia $ 13.95 (two pieces of chicken quarters stuffed with spinach and cheese, very tender very juicy, for those who do not like skin, you can always peel it off; plus three pieces of slightly fried potato+cheese balls/hashbrowns ). Shrimp Oreganata $14.95 (Shrimp battered with couscous sauteed, come with angelhair pasta) Zuppa del Giorno $3.95 (clear base soup with lentals, not pureed, and button mushroom) Leave a Comment Theme: ItalianPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 1060 Darrington Drive, Cary, NC 27513Phone: (919) 468-7229Directions: Darrington Drive (S of NC 54) and the Cary Parkway shopping areaWebsite: http://www.biaggis.com/cary.htm

This is a new Japanese restaurant recently open. At the lunch time, it is packed. Japanese deco with Japanese screen windows and a giant tako (drum) at the center of one wall. It has a large dining room, plus a few private Japanese style rooms. It is not the cheapest in the area. I had Deluxe Sashimi. Excellent quality. Very fresh. Plus they have a few items other local Japanese restaurants do not have: white tuna, fresh sweet shrimp and so on.
