The Soda shop is just like a diner out of the 1950s. In addition to its nice little 'soda' feel, The Soda Shop includes all sorts of Davidson College paraphenalia hanging on the walls to entertain diners and provide atmosphere.

The Depot, as it's known, is Davidson's only spot of nightlife. It functions as a bar, restaurant, and microbrewery. They've got over 150 beers on tap. They're two specialties are Thirsty Thursdays ($1.50 pints of beer) and Tuesday Karaoke. Tuesday Karaoke is not to be missed. Additionally, the staff there is very nice and there is a feeling of community, but of openness because of the college students.
Dress Code: Shoes and shirt required. That's about it.

We are becoming more and more a suburb of Charlotte here in Davidson, and therefore the traffic has started to pick up. While things are almost perfect during the day and the evening, one would have to be a fool to drive between 4:30 and 6:00. If you can possibly stay inside of walk to your destination, do so!

Most people who come to Davidson come to see the college. However, what they fail to notice is that Davidson College is also an arboretum, housing some of the most beautiful trees in North America. There is a Japanese maple here that is simply beautiful. There used to be one of these in my front yard, so it always makes me a little homesick.
