Go check out the Ocracoke Island Lighthouse on Ocracoke Island. Now you head south on Route 12 to the free ferry at Hatteras Village, take the ferry over to Ocracoke, it take about 45 minutes, then you take Route 12 to the other side of the island of Ocracoke and hang a left at the water. Go check out the Bodie Island Lighthouse, go up Route 12 north to the Oregon Inlet and on the north side you will see the lighthouse, just drive up Route 12 a little bit more and turn left, Watch for the sign because it's not that big. This is an other beautiful lighthouse located on the outer banks barrier islands. An other great photo op, so grab your camera and go take some shots! Now if your having fun with all these lighthouses you can head way north on route 12, now this is about a 2 hour ride north and you will pass the Cape Hatteras, Bodie Island and then reach the Currituck Lighthouse in Corolla Outer Banks NC. Straight up Route 12 through Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Duck and Corolla and on the left side you'll see the Currituck Lighthouse. While in Frisco you can shoot up to Buxton, maybe 10 minutes north on Route 12. Check out the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, climb the 256 stairs to the top where you will enjoy great views from above Avon to the point and beyond, WOW! Bring your camera for some great photos!
