Be careful when you're climbing in Crowder's Mountain State Park. There are no railings at the top, but if you stay on the trail, you won't have a problem. I always stray off the path and walk out to the edge of the rocky cliffs, but if you do this, make sure you're extra careful.
I took a picnic lunch when I was visiting Crowder's Mountain and when I got to the peak I found a great flat piece of rock to sit down on and enjoy the view. But the whole time I was eating, there were hawks circling above me and I kept thinking that one might swoop down and steal my food. Fortunately, they let me eat, but not in peace! If you look closely at this picture, you can see a couple of the flying rascals!
