In the heart of downtown Grover, there are two places to eat. I skipped the pizzaria because I was hungry for barbecue. I guess that I must go back for pizza. Although the place where I did eat implies that bar-b-q is its specialty and pork barbecue heads the menu, its real specialty is country charm. in fact, I would certainly not go back just for the barbecue but I may go back for the hospitality. If you are a barbecue afficionado, you may have different favorites, so I will describe my meal below and let you decide what you will eat, but when you go tell Donna and Mrs. Rogers that I sent you.
Favorite Dish: The barbecue was more sauce-after-smoking-oriented than truly marinated and deep smoked. The cole slaw was ketchup-and-vinegar-based rather than mayo or salad dressing and mustard-based. The hush puppies were delicious corn bread but they could have been a bit hotter. The baked beans were delicious and Donna brought Pepsi refills faster than I could drink them.
