The Best Western, Hendersonville: The Only Place to Stay, Respectively
kacooke Says:

Main Street - Mast General Store: Perusing the Main Street Strip
My favorite shop on Main Street is the General Store. It houses a collection of novelties, clothing, and candy. Also, be sure to check out the army store, where you can often find discounted clothes, shoes, and miscellaneous items.

Beware of the KKK
Helpfulness
kacooke 36 reviews
Hendersonville is a quaint little town located in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. It's not very culturally diverse at all. While scoping out Main Street, I came across a flyer for the Ku Klux Klan hanging on the front door of one of the shops. As a young African American, I was a little uncomfortable, but not surprised by the reality of life. Generally the locals are very friendly and inviting. Just be aware (without being paranoid and defensive) that there are still people around (even in 2003) who don't like "people of color."
