A lot of people come to Hickory to shop for furniture. It's a great place to do so...but here's a tip -- don't go to the Furniture Mart! It's ok to go for ideas, but you will pay too much.
If you have a little bit of time, check out Highway 321...this road up to the North Carolina mountains features a several-mile stretch of land with wall-to-wall furniture stores. It takes some time to sort through all the stores, but you're bound to find some good deals...whether you're looking for dining room tables, bed frames, or easy chairs (or anything in-between!).
What to buy: Everything from wholesale unfinished furniture to some of the highest quality furniture in the world.
What to pay: Bargain basement prices through top of the line.
