Only one kind of nightlife for me when I am visiting this area - it's called 'SEASIDE'. This is not some club, but instead, a natural experience that overwhelms all your senses. The smell of salt air; the sights and sounds of the ocean cresting and slashing against the beach; the touch of aquatic life and the coarseness of the sand between your toes; the taste of fresh seafood.
The colors of the sun setting are breath taking and can be very unique as the seasons change. Enjoy these early summer sunsets at the beach.
Dress Code: No socks, no shoes, no shirt (for some of us) - totally acceptable at this establishment. You may wear any attire you desire and no one will think any different.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Family Travel
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: My friend Tom made us some great gear for shell collecting - he cut the bottom out of a bucket and glue on a piece of clear plexiglass. When you put the bucket into the water, you can see below the surface glare.
Miscellaneous: Don't worry if you forget to pack something! There is a Wal-Mart in Shallotte!!!
