    Bogart's: Best Steaks in Town

by jordandevore Written Jun 5, 2007

Excellent food, great staff. Best spot in Sylva to eat. Best steak in town.

Favorite Dish: I recommend the T-Bone, Ribeye, Filet, Mignon, Grilled Shrimp, sweet potato (amazing), Suzie Salad, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Prime Rib on Friday nights! Everything is cooked to your liking, and the servers are excellent.

Must try the Fried Oreos for dessert!!!!

Now for breakfast I have 4 places to try.  The first two are in almost every city, and the third and fourth are a home style place ran by a local Grandmother and the local coffee shop.  There is a newly opened Waffle House sandwiched between the McDonalds and O'Malley's, and down the road from Sylva in our neighboring town of Dillsboro, only a minute from main street, there is a Huddle House, which is just like the
Waffle House.   The grandma run place is called Grandma's Barn and it's open daily from 5AM to 2PM and serves wonderful big meals.  The coffee shop is open till midnight every day, and is just like any other shop in the world.  I highly suggest Grandma's Barn.

Favorite Dish: At Grandma's Barn you have to try their blueberry pancakes and their hash browns, they are absolutely delicious.

Well, it depends on your taste. There are 5 pizza places in town, two of them are national chains, Papa's Pizza and Domino's. The others are Andretti's, Speedy's, Meatballs, and a great Italian Restaurant called Bellaromas. There are also a few up scale or mainstream places that are both on Main street, a few doors from each other on the right side of the street. You're not going to miss them or need addresses because the main street is not even a half a mile long. Those two restaurants are called Meriweather's and Alan's on Main. For a good cheap eat, the locals head to either the Ryan's Steakhouse which just opened, or to the pub at O'malley's bar and grill just down the road from our tiny movie theater and McDonalds.
