    Paradisio: Paradisio

    by Pierre_Rouss Written Jan 16, 2005

Very good Mexican food, better than big chain Mexican, cozy ambiance.

Big deception, the margaritas tasted like powder. That often breaks the deal for me. But the food was great.

Favorite Dish: Chimichangas, the chalupa, chile relleno and pico de gallo

Peacock Alley Bar & Grill: Old brothel? Great restaurant

    by Pierre_Rouss Updated Jan 16, 2005

Two faced restaurant, the first is a classy booth style and private dining room, the second more pub like restaurant with central bar, old pictures on the wall, and more activity.

The dining room is nice, attention to details, great place to have a date or business dinner.
The menu is interesting in itself as it gives insights on the history of this building that used to be the Patterson Hotel. Close to the train station, it looks like it hosted a brothel with ladies would get to the hotel passing under the street from the train station, haha.

    Favorite Dish: Blackened cajun walleye.
There is also a Cajun combo with shrimp that is delicious.

    Quiet classy side

Little blackjack table in one corner, bar in the middle, cozy tables all around, great crowd.

Favorite Dish: Blackened about everything, like yellow fin tuna.
    Great salads, hot sandwitches.

Fortune Cookie: A good chinese buffet

by cochinjew Written Sep 10, 2004

I usually do not like to go to Buffet restaurants, quantity usually overrides quality in such places for me. In Bismarck North Dakota, one has to be humble when it comes to food and drinking, so I was quite happy to come across a Chinese Buffet in the Kirkwood Mall across from the hotel Ramkota Inn/Best Western where I was staying. Frankly I was quite surprised at the quality.. much better chinese food than I have tasted in the midwest of the USA..

Favorite Dish: The mexican chef who was preparing the stirfry as usual did not want to speak Spanish ( many of them afraid of being found out to be illegal) but did prepare the stirfy that I had picked out.
There were shrimp and mussels to be had. I liked the fried rice, rice noodles, multiple vegetables.
I plan to go there once again before leaving Bismarck.
Why do Chinese restaurants have such banal names without any imagination?

    A good Chinese Buffet

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

An 'Out of this world' place to go is Space Aliens, north of Bismarck. There known for their barbeque sauces and have many great dishes!
The atmosphere is great. When you walk in you are definately in a different world. UFO's, Aliens, the whole works.

Favorite Dish: Giant Baked potato!!! Filled with your choice of meat and veggies. If you order a burger and fries, your fries come in a cone with your choice of two dippings from their several selections.
