map of Fargo by Redlats You need a car - things are a ways from each other, and the city is not big enough for buses to take you where you want to go. I should qualify that. There are 10 bus routes in the city's transit system, but as for all smaller cities, they will not be very convenient. Leave a Comment

The only way to get to Fargo is by car or plane. There is little to attract one to Fargo unless you have relatives here or are on business. Rent a car, no question. The bus service is excellent considering how small a city it is, but is for locals only, practically speaking. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

pic from www.bonanzaville.com by Redlats Bonanzaville is a picturesque 12-acre village of museums with original historic structures from the North Dakota Prairie: a sod house, country school, church, log homes, antique cars, airplanes, farm machinery etc. We enjoyed touring the grounds - it took most of a day. This museum is normally open only during summer and weekends on the shoulder seasons. cost in 2001 was $6 adults, $3 kids Leave a Comment

by sketchyhand The Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead is worth a look. The replica stavkirke (stav church) Is a little bit of Scandinavian culture. Also the unique tensile roof of the main building is definatly a sight. Leave a Comment Directions: Off of 1st Avenue north in Moorhead, right on the Red River.

Inside the Theatre by fargoman If you have time, you must take in a movie at the historic Fargo Theatre. Showtimes there are limited but the ambiance of this wonderful building is incredible! It also comes complete with the old Wurlitzer organ that rises out of the center of the main stage! Leave a Comment

Pioneers by their homestead by my2kids Bonanzaville has been an educational, enjoyable stop for over 30 years. An historic village of over 40 buildings depicting life in the Red River Valley in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Guests travel back to the time when our bonanza farm homes dotted the wheat-blanketed plains and our general store was spilling over with merchandise. The self guided tour includes authentic log cabins, church, schoolhouse, train depot, and bonanza farm mansion. Each building is filled with period furnishings and artifacts. In addition Bonanzaville features a main museum housing Native American artifacts, dolls, world war memorabilia and much more. Also vintage automobile, tractor and airplane museums are a part of the village. While Bonanzaville is a fun place to visit anytime of year - keep watch on their website and visit when they have special events such as Pioneer Days in August or Wild West Jamboree in July. Event: Pioneer Days Location: Bonanzaville USA August 20 & 21, 2005 $7 adults / $4 children The region's longest running festival of our heritage features pioneer demonstrations and food, costumed interpreters, live musical entertainment, children's activities and a fantastic parade of vintage automobiles and antique tractors.
