Alum Creek State Park: Loved our camp site!
WILDEFLOWER Says:
We had many sites to choose from on a Sunday night. Everyone was leaving! There were sites right by the water that were great.
Many little trails to walk. Nice hot showers and bathrooms. Fire pit.
No Bars: Sounds of the night
You can hear the creatures creeping around in the night. Some tap on your tent for a midnight snack and some want in. I got up and sat next to the fire and racoons came up to me after getting in to our potato chips and crackers. We forgot to put them in the truck Dumb us! Anyway. They would grab our left overs and take off in to the woods. Not a good idea for them to get used to getting fed. Not very safe for campers either! But they were pretty funny! Now I know why they are called bandits of the night where we come from. Ha ha!
