safety in Berlin

Berlin is lumped with Millersburg under Wooster's crime statistics.
The area statistics indicate that the area has about half as much crime as similar populations in the state.
There are 54 registered sex offenders in the general area. That is only one-half of one percent of the population.
To see if any of these SOs are in the area that you are going to visit, click on the website below.
For the most part, Berlin is a safe place to visit.
Use the same safety procedures that you use at home and you should have a fine visit here.
We have been in the area several times both at touristy spots during the day and downtown at night and have not had any problems.

Legends of Massillon

This is a resort style golf course with private memberships and upscale homes along some fairways. Public use is available during the summer but you have to call ahead for tee times.
$30 is the cost of 18 holes and a cart.
There are 3 sets of 18 holes you can play (one set overlaps the other two). The shortest course is 4900 yards and the longest is 6900 yards so you have a wide variety of games to play. The short tees are made for duffers like me and can be enjoyed by any non-skilled golfer. The better golfers prefer the more rigorous and frustrating long tees and a much longer time on the fairways.
Most of the holes feature a water hazard or water on the periphery.
There is a large driving range and a snack bar for refreshment afterwards.
Be sure to bring water bottle because it can be ver hot here in the summer.
