The establishment itself is run by many of the local menonite communities and serve country style food. Once in there, it isn't going to look like much. But remember, you ren't there for the type of booth or table you are sitting at, you are there for some of the best food in the region! You will have to wait in line for it, but it is worth it. There are plenty of thigns to look at along the way, so you won't be disappointed.
Desert! The place has always been known for its pies. I would make the five hour drive up there right now for a bananna cream pie, if I could! Leave a Comment

You won't be sorry if you stop here. It is located on Cleveland Ave. near 30th Street NW; close to the I-77 State Route 30 intersection. If you get there around noon, you can order from the Russian Tea Room menu. Any of the food, on any menu at any time is great. Fast service, nice people, and perhaps the least unpleasantness in the area.
If you're a meat eater - try the Filet Mignon with sauted mushrooms. Not into meat? Try the fish. Cheap, delicious food! They give you free warm nachos and fresh salsa while you wait for your food (as other restaraunts may do with bread or rolls) But you won't wait long, because they have quick service! You'll love it!
My favorite dish is probably their combination dinner # 10 which is two tacos and an order of rice and beas for $6.00. For an apitizer, if you don't get full from the nachos, try the Jalepenos Rellanos (cheese stuffed jalepenos) or their Mexican Pizza for $3.50!

This restaurant used to offer a free steak dinner to anyone who could finish their Big Steak in less than an hour (it was like a 5-6 pound slab of beef marinated in El Paso hot sauce).
We did NOT even attempt that but had a great steak dinner with baked potatoes and a beer for me, coffee for my wife and sodas for the kids. And every one of us cleaned their plate.
The kids had Ice Cream for dessert and my wife and I had apple pie. Everything was delicious and tasted as good as my wife's cooking (and that is saying a mouthful).
The atmosphere was cheap Texas bar and grill but the waitress was great and the service was quick (which is nice when you got a bunch of hungry kids). The prices were a little higher than normal but everyone was having such a great time that that was a minor issue.
